Phpsound is a PHP script for running a social music sharing platform, similar in concept to SoundCloud, where users upload their music and share it with others.
Listeners get a player with next, pause, previous, repeat and volume controls. A stream page keeps them up to date with new content from their friends, and the explore page surfaces tracks by their tags.
A unified search covers users and tracks at once, with results that can be filtered by people, tracks and playlists. Tracks can be shared through an embeddable player on any website, by email or on social networks such as Twitter and Facebook.
Each user profile carries cover and avatar images, a profile description, social network links, the user's tracks, followers and playlists. Creators see statistics on plays, downloads, likes and the countries their audience comes from.
Pro accounts on monthly or yearly plans add more track size and total space, advanced statistics and a pro badge, and the PayPal IPN integration handles the payments.
On the admin side, the dashboard shows statistics for the current day with graphs of the last seven days. You can view and change account information and verify, suspend or delete users, and the built-in DMCA copyright form and comment reports let you suspend, delete or ignore reported content.
Site settings cover Amazon S3 storage, SMTP and Facebook registration, and Facebook login connects users in two clicks. The built-in theme system switches the look of the site, and the language system lets users move between multiple languages.
