Freelance Cockpit is a project management and CRM application written as a PHP script. Its dashboard gives an overview of open projects, open invoices, received and outstanding payments, open tasks, messages and events.

Project work starts with tasks, which you can add to any project and group by milestones, and clients can also be allowed to create tasks.

Each project gets a Gantt chart, grouped by milestones or by agents, and every task has its own timesheet, with timers so agents can track the time they spend. Files of any kind can be uploaded to a project.

The client side follows a client from first contact to payment. Leads are managed in the app and can be imported from a CSV file. A quotation request form works without logging in, so its link can go directly to potential clients or onto your company website.

Once someone is a client, they get a portal showing the status of their projects and invoices. They can open tickets to track any incident, including tickets sent by email, and private messages can be exchanged with them.

Billing covers estimates, invoices and recurring invoices. Clients pay invoices by card through Stripe or 2Checkout, or through PayPal via IPN, and PayPal subscriptions can be used for recurring invoices.

For running the team, user access levels decide which modules each agent can reach, and a calendar offers optional Google Calendar integration. The interface can be translated through language files, and CSS styles can be changed directly from the settings page.
