Release history
- **Winden Classes panel** — a visual class helper in Gutenberg. Type in a textarea with autocomplete instead of a tag field, see a colour swatch beside every colour class, hover a class to read the CSS it produces, and get classes that compile to nothing flagged as you write them. Available as its own editor sidebar, and switchable back to the tag input in Settings.
- **HTML editor** — edit any block as HTML straight from its toolbar. The editor docks beside the canvas and follows your selection.
- **Paste a Tailwind component and get blocks** — paste markup from any component library and it becomes real blocks that keep their classes, including images, galleries, tables, SVG and links.
- **Three new blocks** — Winden Image (a bare ` ` with no figure wrapper, and it can show the post's featured image), Winden Text (one inline element such as ` `, ` ` or ` `), and Winden Icon (an SVG exactly as you pasted it).
- **Winden Group and Winden Shape** — two Group variations for Tailwind markup: any HTML element, any attribute, and no layout of its own. Winden Shape is for elements that are only decoration.
- **HTML attributes on core blocks** — add `aria-*`, `data-*`, `style` and the rest to Paragraph, Heading, List, Quote, Group, Code, Separator and Preformatted.
- **Expand or collapse a whole branch** in List View from a block's ⋮ menu.
- **Tailwind plugin management** — search npm for a plugin and add it without writing any CSS, and switch a plugin off without removing it.
- **Container queries** now work through Tailwind v4 itself.
- ### Updated
- The compiler now leans on native Tailwind v4 APIs. Your existing Style tabs keep compiling unchanged.
- Faster admin: Monaco loads only on screens that have an editor, and the admin bundle is split and loaded as a module.
- File scanner: tri-state checkboxes, file-count badges, a loading spinner while the tree builds, and an inline confirmation on save.
- Wizzard design tokens now flow into the class helper's suggestions.
- Plain Group and Plain Image were renamed to Winden Group and Winden Image.
- Bundled Tailwind plugins can no longer be removed by accident.
- Tailwind CSS updated to v4.3.3.
- Tested up to WordPress 7.1.
- Cleared every outstanding npm security advisory.
- a fatal error on a fresh install in the admin cache path.
- the Bricks providers reading option keys that the migration deletes. On a migrated site this stopped Wizzard variables reaching Bricks global variables, and silently stopped "dequeue Bricks styles" from applying.
- an empty Wizzard deleting the whole theme.
- a forced class losing its variants.
- the class panel being blind to classes Winden itself forces.
- the docked HTML editor flashing on every block selection, and the caret and selection jumping when changes are applied.
- arrow keys in the class textarea and in the suggestion list.
- a second browser tooltip drawing over the colour palette.
- the compiler blaming `@theme` instead of naming the plugin that failed.
- A pasted `wp-image` id from another site is now refused instead of resolving to the wrong attachment.
