Changelog

Added
  • Provider secrets now use the Ultimate Member API key field type. They are stored as wp-config.php constants (UM_OPTION_FACEBOOK_APP_SECRET, UM_OPTION_GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET, and so on) instead of in the database, and are masked in the settings screen. Secrets already saved in the database keep working until you re-save the settings.
  • Compatibility with the Ultimate Member v3 user interface - new buttons template, SVG icon support, shortcode templates, default avatar and Account tab support.
  • "Session Storage Method" setting to choose between PHP native sessions and WordPress transient storage.
  • "Use REST API callback endpoint" setting, which uses a REST endpoint as the OAuth redirect URI and resolves session and caching problems on sites with full-page caching.
  • Filter hook `um_social_login_start_session` to disable the forced session_start() call.
Fixed
  • Fatal errors for all social network authentication.
  • Cache misses and session problems with popular caching plugins and server modules.
  • Social login shortcode rendering with the v3 design, including missing labels, icons and button alignment.
  • Buttons in the Account > Social tab, and the validation that shows the connected state.
  • Error notice raised by the debug logger.
  • Issue with populating registration fields from synced social profile fields.
  • Missing function argument.
Improved
  • Requires Ultimate Member 2.13.0 or later.
Other
  • Templates required update:
  • buttons.php
