Other
- Released 02nd September 2026 *
- Rebuilt the Menu Creator editor layout and flow
- Split the editor into a structure tree and a stacked inspector instead of the old 3-column settings grid
- Menu name, status, and unsaved state sit in the header; Settings, import, export, restore, and delete live with the menu actions
- The editor opens with nothing selected and a short empty state: click an item to edit it, or Settings for name, status, and audience
- Search, expand/collapse, drag handles, and add-link / add-separator actions are on the tree
- Custom items can be added as children of the selected item; WordPress items can be reset without deleting them
- Import asks before replacing the current menu; leaving with unsaved changes now warns
- The editor waited for the live WordPress menu and the saved menu at the same time, so a fast save response could treat every WordPress item as removed
- Parsing the admin menu for the editor no longer clears icons on the live sidebar
- Items without a submenu no longer shift left; the expand column stays reserved
- Settings is a header action, not a row in the item tree
- Hardened Menu Creator save and list behaviour
- Saves now send the full menu payload; title and status count as unsaved changes
- Expanding a submenu or opening an item no longer marks the menu dirty
- List search is debounced; deleting a menu from the list asks for confirmation and closes it if it is open
- Kept toolbar link dropdowns above admin content
- WordPress toolbar submenus, nested submenus, and the Add New dropdown now use z-index 9999
- Dashboard, media, plugins, posts, and admin notices now ship their own isolation CSS, the same way Settings already did
- WordPress admin chrome stays native; only the Vue page content is styled
Fixed
- Menu Creator items disappearing or saving empty
- Menu Creator tree alignment and settings placement
- custom pages loading unstyled when the theme is disabled
Added
- and existing menus now wait for the WordPress menu before merging, and keep saved items if that menu cannot be read
Compatibility
- Requires WordPress
- 5.5
- Requires PHP
- 7.4
