Other
- SECURITY: Improved sanitization and escaping throughout the plugin to resolve Plugin Check security findings. #12 (@dparker1005)
- SECURITY: The `[pmpro_download]` shortcode, Download block, Download Library and email download links now only display published downloads. Unpublished downloads render nothing on pages and are left as plain shortcode text in emails. #13 (@dparker1005)
Added
- Added a `category` attribute to the `[pmpro_download_library]` shortcode and a Categories setting to the Download Library block to filter downloads by download category. #10 (@dparker1005)
Fixed
- Fixed `[pmpro_download]` shortcodes in level confirmation messages showing as raw text on confirmation pages that use the `[pmpro_confirmation]` shortcode. #11 (@dparker1005)
July 20, 2026225.0 KBScanned
Added
- Added Download Categories, allowing downloads to be organized and categories to be protected by membership level. #7 (@kimcoleman)
- Forced Downloads to use the block editor when the Classic Editor plugin is active, ensuring the download editing interface remains available. #8 (@kimcoleman)
Fixed
- Fixed locked download templates to hide membership levels that do not allow signups and show generic messaging when no public levels are available. #6 (@kimcoleman)
May 4, 2026225.5 KBScanned
Added
- Added a new "Embed Image" toggle to the PMPro Download block (and `embed_image="true"` shortcode attribute) that displays image-type downloads inline for members with access. #4 (@dparker1005)
Fixed
- FIX/ENHANCEMENT: The `[pmpro_download]` shortcode placed in a level confirmation message now renders as a clickable download link when the confirmation message is included in checkout emails, instead of appearing as raw shortcode text. Invalid shortcodes are left unchanged so admins can spot the typo. #3 (@dparker1005)
