- Reels now open in a full-screen, swipeable viewer that plays with sound. Turn it on or off with the new "Enable Swipe View for Reels" setting under Settings > Advanced (on by default). Feeds with the lightbox turned off are not affected.
- A Data sharing section under Settings > General explains the limited, anonymised usage data the plugin collects and the in-plugin notifications it sends, with links to learn more.
- Manage Instagram Feed from AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor through the WordPress Abilities API (WordPress 6.9 and newer). Set it up under Settings > General > AI Agents. Agents can read your feeds and settings; changing them needs the separate "MCP Write Access" option, which is off by default.
- Feeds on pages served from a long-lived page cache no longer show up empty, and Load More works again.
- Dismissed in-plugin notifications no longer come back after a page reload.
- Deactivation feedback is no longer lost when another Smash Balloon plugin is active.
