Changelog
Fixed
- The appointment date and time reached notification emails, confirmations and the entry list as a raw serialized array, for example `a:3:{s:4:"date";s:10:"2026-09-30";s:4:"time";s:11:"15:00-18:00";s:4:"cost";s:1:"0";}`, instead of the booked date. `get_value_save_entry()` in `gf-fields/class-gf-appointment-booking-calendar.php` skipped its date-to-text conversion whenever `is_admin()` was true, on the assumption that only the entry edit screen could be an admin request. Gravity Forms 2.9 moved AJAX-enabled form submissions to `admin-ajax.php`, where `is_admin()` is also true, so front-end bookings stored the raw array and every merge tag printed it verbatim. The check is now `is_entry_edit()`, which is the only screen that genuinely posts a plain textarea string.
- The same conversion was skipped when the entry ID was not yet available, for example on entries created programmatically. That path now falls back to converting the value it was given.
- Entries already stored with a serialized value now display correctly without being re-saved. `format_entry_field()` and `get_value_entry_list()` recover the booking and format it, so the entry detail screen, the entries list and notification merge tags all read properly. Emails already sent cannot be corrected retroactively.
- `TranslateDateToText()` returns an empty array for a multiple-slot booking with no slots, which would itself serialize into the entry. The value is now flattened to a string before it is saved.
Other
- Note: Appointments were never affected. `add_new_ga_appointment()` reads the submitted values directly, so only the entry value and the notification text were wrong. No booking data was lost.
