Changelog

Added
  • AI agents can build price-comparison pages more reliably. They see which modules can search by EAN, URL or product ID, get the product identifiers needed to compare offers, and can put offers into groups. The agent guide is now split into topics, including a new price comparison topic. From eBay they add at most 3 listings per page unless you ask for more: the cheapest new ones, one per seller.
  • AI agents now remember, for each comparison page, which product it is and which shop offers they accepted or rejected, so a later chat continues where the last one stopped. They can also recheck your pages for new shops and outdated offers.
  • AI agents can set the WooCommerce product type, categories, GTIN and catalog visibility.
  • ChatGPT connects through ChatGPT Work and a ChatGPT project, with scheduled tasks that run in the cloud. The AI Agents screen shows the new steps; Custom GPTs, which OpenAI is retiring, are no longer needed.
  • Product Manager — on price-comparison pages an AI agent manages, an offer the agent matched to the page's product shows a small green dot. Checking offers is optional; offers without the dot are fine.
  • Variant families. Link pages that are variants of one product (for example 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB) so visitors can switch between them with a variant switcher that shows each variant's lowest price. AI agents create the families; the switcher appears automatically on WooCommerce products and as a block or the [content-egg-variants] shortcode in posts. When you preview a page of a family, the switcher also shows its unpublished pages, so you can check a family before publishing it.
  • WooCommerce — "Variant Families in Shop" option to show only one product per variant family in the shop and category pages.
  • Variant pages are marked up as one product group for Google (ProductGroup).
  • "Used and Refurbished Offers" setting (General settings). When enabled, used and refurbished offers no longer set the best price, the WooCommerce price, price history or price alerts, and they get a "Used" or "Refurbished" label. An offer with "Renewed", "Refurbished" or a similar word in its title counts as refurbished even when the shop lists it as new (for example Amazon Renewed). Enabled by default on new installations; existing sites keep their current behavior until you turn it on.
  • WooCommerce "Automatic Synchronization Scope". Sync product prices from all modules and exclude the ones you don't want, or keep syncing only the selected modules. New installations sync from all modules; existing sites keep their current setting. A notice now tells you when automatic sync is off because no module is selected.
  • Feed modules — "condition" column in the feed mapping.
  • Feed, AWIN, Daisycon and Webgains — search by the feed's own product ID with "id:12345" to add an exact offer. Works in the editor search, Prefill and auto-update keywords; separate several IDs with commas (id:123,id:456).
  • Prefill — "Values are feed product IDs" option for the Custom Field source. Plain feed product IDs saved in a custom field are matched exactly, one per field value or comma-separated.
  • Walmart — cegg_walmart_api_credentials filter to use your own walmart.io API key.
Improved
  • Search by EAN now also works in Billigerde, Geizhalsde and Trovaprezzi, including one-click EAN compare. Price comparison in import presets now also uses Clickwise, Impact Radius, Billigerde, Geizhalsde and Trovaprezzi.
  • Prefill no longer sends an EAN to modules that can't search by EAN.
  • Pages an AI agent manages keep their shop offers: automatic keyword updates and Prefill no longer replace them, and "Update listings" is paused for product offers on these pages (coupon lists still update).
  • On pages an AI agent manages, "Sync GTIN (WooCommerce native)" no longer changes the WooCommerce GTIN; it stays the one the agent set.
  • Merchant logos work again without an API key. The default logo source is now the shop's website icon, since Clearbit no longer provides logos.
  • Every shop, including Amazon and eBay, now gets its logo from the Logo Source setting, so all logos look the same; your own logos still take priority. When Brandfetch or Logo.dev has no logo for a shop, or no key is set, the shop's website icon is used instead.
  • Changing Logo Source now replaces the logos Content Egg downloaded before; logos you placed in the ce-logos folder yourself are kept. A logo that could not be downloaded is tried again after 7 days.
Fixed
  • Sovrn (Viglink) — offers from many shops had no logo. They now get the logo Sovrn provides, and Target, The Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, Wayfair, REI and other shops are matched to their website.
  • Walmart — searches failed with "Invalid request" until the module settings had been saved once, and the descending sort order was not applied.
  • Kieskeurignl — search by EAN returned no results.
  • Trovaprezzi — EAN search results were replaced by a keyword search.
  • Sorti
